Prime Minister Joseph Muscat, while in New York, held a number of bilateral meetings aimed at strengthening relations with different countries, a government statement read.
One such meeting, was with the President of Macedonia Zoran Zaev, who spoke about strong investment interest in Malta, and said he is looking forward to double taxation agreements and laws to facilitate commerce between both countries.
The energy sector was mentioned, and how Malta is creating projects in other countries, mostly to do with renewable energy. The Macedonian Prime Minister noted such a possibility with satisfaction.
Prime Minister Muscat also met Kosovo President Hashim Thaçi, and economic cooperation as also discussed here. Thaci mentioned the education sector, and how it can offer new opportunities for the two countries.
Muscat also met with President of Guyana David Granger.
