The president of the European People’s Party (EPP), Joseph Daul, has congratulated Adrian Delia on his being elected as leader of the Nationalist Party.

Daul also thanked Simon Busuttil for leading the party for the past four years.

The EPP president praised the electoral process, in which all members were allowed to vote. He said he was eager to meet the new PN leader at the next summit, which will be held on 19 October.

Daul thanked Simon Busuttil for his cooperation with the EPP. He also acknowledged Busuttil’s efforts in favour of integrity in politics and against corruption. He also congratulated Busuttil on his appointment to the EP committee that selects members of the European Court of Justice.
