A man has been ordered to to pay a fine of 1500 euro after a string of events led to police officers finding improperly stored weapons in his residence.
The search took place on 24 September after police found two shotgun cartridges in Anthony Camilleri's recently sold car, which had been involved in a car accident.
At Camilleri’s residence the police found three registered weapons and one registered air gun, which the accused claimed were incorrectly stored because he and his wife were redecorating the unit which stored the weapons.
Camilleri pleaded guilty to the charge of not storing weapons as according to law.
The court was presided over by Magistrate Charmaine Galea.
Inspector Sergio Pisani represented the prosecution.
