With 60 points and dominating from the first day, Maltese flag bearer Team Chaudron, composed of Aaron Ciantar and Dominique Martini, were declared the winners of the World Championship for power boats Class V1.

Hosted by the Italian city of Chioggia, the Grand Prix of Italy was contested over three days with Team Chaudron winning the pole position and race on all days.  The third and last race was on Sunday afternoon where the contestants had to face rough sea and windy conditions.

Aaron Ciantar will be arriving back in Malta early Tuesday afternoon together with his family who were with him throughout the event.
