A man was seriously injured on Wednesday afternoon after falling a height of one and a half storeys while working on a construction site, the police said Thursday.

The 45-year-old, resident of Zurrieq, was working on a site in Santa Marija Square, Bubaqra, limits of Zurrieq.

He was taken to hospital in an ambulance to be treated for serious injuries.
