Maltese contestant clinches Miss Princess of the World 2017 title

26-year-old Dajana Laketic, from Swatar, has been crowned Miss Princess of the World 2017.

Dajana also won two other minor titles during this pageant; Best National Costume and Miss Bikini.

Argentina came second followed by Slovakia in third place.

The beauty pageant was first held in 2005, with 40 countries competing. This year, from amongst the 40 candidates, 8 super finalists were chosen to first fly to Barcelona and then board the cruise liner MSC Meraviglia, on which the final ceremony was held.

The Maltese contestant was among the super finalists who had the opportunity to visit Marseille, Naples, Genova and also Malta. The national directors of Malta are Alan J. Darmanin and Jeff Francalanza from Glow Promotions.

Dajana is an HR Manager who speaks seven languages; Maltese, English, Italian, Spanish, Serbian, Macedonian and Croatian. This was her fifth time representing Malta abroad.

During the final crowning ceremony, Dajana was crowned by the ship’s captain and by the President of the pageant Viktor Krca.

She won several prizes including a cash prize, an apartment for a whole year in Czech Republic, flights and accommodation to Canada, several dresses by designer Jirina Tuchmanova and various beauty products.
