Two men were injured, one of them seriously, in a crash between a car and a van in Mosta early this morning.

The accident took place at around 6am in Triq il-Kostituzzjoni.

The police said a 23-year-old man from Mellieha was driving a Volkswagen Golf which collided with a Toyota Townace van that was being driven by a 50-year-old male from San Ġwann. 

The cars consequently crashed into some parked vehicles.

The two men were taken to Mater Dei Hospital. The 23-year-old suffered grievous injuries while the 50-year-old man’s injuries were classified as slight.

The case is being investigated.
