The Malta Cultural Institute will be presenting its first concert of the MCI 2017/8 season this evening at 7pm in De Porres Hall, Sliema

The MCI concert will feature Marie Therese Vassallo Voice Studio, who will be presenting A feast from the musicals, a selection of songs from some of the best-loved musical shows and films including Annie Get Your Gun, South Pacific, Showboat, My Fair Lady, Aladdin and Phantom of the Opera. The programme will include solos, duets and a mixed choir made up of 45 singers. Musical and artistic direction will be in the hands of Dame Mro Marie Therese Vassallo DipLCM, LLCM, DCLJ, MMLJ, PSLJ, BMLJ.

The evening will also be hosting The Mary Jane Bellia Ballet School dancers in a programme of excerpts from Coppelia and also Maltese and Spanish dances. The school principal is Mary Jane Bellia ARAD/ RAD Teach. cert. and examiner.

The MCI painting exhibition for October will feature works by Marianne Cirillo.

Everyone is invited to attend. A donation at the door is kindly requested to help cover some of the expenses of the MCI and the use of the De Porres Hall.
