Valletta’s revenge over Hamrun Tre Angeli in Futsal

Tuesday, 10 October 2017, 22:28 Last update: about 8 years ago

The Citizens shook Hamrun Tre Angeli and achieved the second consecutive 5-3 win.

This seemed as their revenge over Hamrun for the win that the latter had over Valletta in last season's Knock Out Cup final.

Hamrun started on a bad note when losing most of the ball possession since they paved the way for Valletta to score five goals without responding back. Denis Di Maio netted twice, while Melvin Borg, Shawn Vella and Mohamed Lamari bagged a goal apiece.

The second half proved to be a completely different story for Hamrun. They managed to reduce the gap even though they lost quite a number of scoring opportunities. Luke Stivala, Clive Calleja and Daniel Borg managed to score for Hamrun Tre Angeli.

This week also saw the second consecutive win of the University of Malta's team with the result of 5-2 over Pieta Hotspurs.

On the other hand Junior College and Swieqi U21 are still struggling to achieve the first win. Junior College lost 2-4 against Marsaskala, while Swieqi U21 lost 1-4 against Qormi.

This week ended with Swieqi returning on the winning mode by beating Mriehel ESS with 5-2.
