INDEPTH: Budget was not an accounting exercise, but a plan for the future – Chris Fearne

Thursday, 12 October 2017, 16:01 Last update: about 8 years ago

"This budget was not an accounting exercise but a budget that plans for the future," Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Health Chris Fearne said.

Interviewed by The Malta Independent news editor Rachel Attard on INDEPTH, he said that this budget took stock of what had happened in the previous years and laid the foundations for the legislature.

Asked what the government is doing to attract new sectors and not just keep banking on the existing ones, Fearne said that "we have started the ball rolling to attract medical tourism and to make Malta a centre of excellence for Blockchain".

The entire programme will be uploaded tomorrow.
