Vassallo Group Chairman, Nazzareno Vassallo, CareMalta CEO Natalie Briffa Farrugia as well as other senior managers from Vassallo Group and CareMalta were special guests at an Onam celebration organized by employees of the company from the Indian state of Kerala.

Indian employees from this region make up the second largest group of foreign employees within CareMalta and Vassallo Group.

Onam is the harvest festival in the Kerala celebrated with much fanfare by Keralites across the world. It is celebrated to mark the homecoming of mythological king Mahabali who is believed to be the greatest king ever in Kerala and sacrificed his life for the wellbeing of his people. It is meant to create atmosphere of brotherhood as people of all religions, castes and communities celebrate the festival with equal joy and verve.

CareMalta employees from this part of India managed to replicate the kind of atmosphere that is normally associated with this festival: intricate flower carpets, elaborate banquet dinner, pulikali and kaikottikali dance, reading of poems which all play part in the festival.

Michelle Muscat, spouse of the Prime Minister was also present during the occasion and also addressed those present.
