Updated: Idea of holding second vigil – in front of Castille – taking shape

Tuesday, 17 October 2017, 14:56 Last update: about 2 years ago

A second vigil, this time in front of the Prime Minister’s office in Castille, will take place this evening.

Yesterday, thousands gathered in Sliema and St Julian’s, hours after the killing of journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia.

While the significance of yesterday’s event was powerful indeed, the idea of an even more potent message – that of piling on pressure on the Prime Minister, under whose watch this most heinous crime took place – took shape earlier today.

People gathering in Sliema is one thing, people meeting up in the square in front of the Prime Minister's office is another.

The vigil is set to start at 5.45pm.
