While thousands have already signed yet another petition to have the Police Commissioner Lawrence Cutajar step down, another online petition is now insisting that Prime Minister Joseph Muscat is Malta's savior and should be kept as Prime Minister.
The petition has gathered some 2,000 votes and is addressed to the Jeanclaude Juncker, the President of the European Comission. The petition is called 'Help us keep Joseph Muscat as PM of Malta' and claims that Muscat is the “salvation of Malta”.
This morning, the former PN leader Simon Busuttil has in fact mentioned Juncker in his speech. He said that Joseph Muscat is eyeing the post currently occupied by Juncker but told him that his reputation in the EU has now been tarnished once more after the death of Daphne Caruana Galizia. Once again, the PN is insisting that Joseph Muscat should step down as he is politically responsible for the journalist's death. The PN is also insisting that the Attorney General and Police Commissioner Cutajar do the same.
