David Bonello has been appointed information director of the Nationalist Party, replacing Matthew Bonett, who will be working as spokesman of the European Peoples Party.

Bonellos nomination was approved by the PN executive committee on Thursday evening.

Bonello, 31, started his career with XFM radio in 2007 and later joined Net Television. In 2012, he joined Television Malta.

In 2016, Bonello graduated as a lawyer, and was recently appointed as parliamentary assistant to Francis Zammit Dimech in the EP.

He will take over from Bonett on 13 November.

The executive committee also approved a proposal made by leader Adrian Delia for directors to be appointed under the responsibility of the secretary general, which will lead to the abolition of the post of assistant secretary general.
