The Malta Basketball Association held a press conference, as regards the draws for the BOV K.O. for this season, at the MBA quarters, in Ta Qali. 

The MBA president, Paul Sultana, began by saying that the sports journalists present could see the huge facelift given to the Sports Pavilion. Thanks went to the present administration, and the Ministry of Sports, for all the help provided. He said that this was the first phase of the proceedings. The next phase will include the spectator stands, dressing rooms and offices. He also mentioned that details will be forthcoming, re the opening of the newly furbished Pavilion, which will be on Saturday, 25th November.

The BOV Chief Officer, Peter Perotti, explained that the connection between BOV and basketball goes back for decades, and he was hugely satisfied with the improvement in the alterations. He said that this followed after the training courts scheme, which continues to attract young people. He stated that the MBA president and himself were actively playing around thirty years ago, and they can look back, with nostalgia, and also see for themselves the progress made, not only to the game itself, but also to the facilities.

The draws involved the Men 1 and 2 Divisions.
