I do not agree with the civil society network

Sunday, 12 November 2017, 07:54 Last update: about 7 years ago

I do not agree with the Civil Society Network or with the Opposition. Nor do I share the idea of the group of women with the hash tag: 'Occupy Justice', because they should demand the resignation of the Prime Minister. He is the main culprit for the weak institutions.

It is true that the mechanism to choose the Attorney General and the Commissioner of Police was inherited from previous Nationalist administrations. But things evolve with time and changes are introduced when new needs arise. Labour won the election with the promise of good governance and meritocracy. This administration has undermined the institutions. I would also demand a better performance on the part of the Planning Authority. In my opinion, it is a failed institution and that is the perception of many people.
