The police had to be called on at Triq Sqajjaq in Hal Tarxien where a hold-up was reported. In a statement, the police said that a person entered the house of an elderly couple and searched the house for items to steal. 

The man who entered the house carrying a knife, tied the elderly couple to a chair. The residents of the house had 70 and 69 years old. 

The elderly couple did not suffer any injuries. Police investigation are ongoing.
