Atlas manager participates in walk for Hospice Malta

Atlas Marketing and HR manager Jackie Attard Montalto recently participated in Camino 2017: Lucca to Siena, to help raise funds for Hospice Malta. Together the group managed to collect €8,500.

Attard Montalto made use of the Atlas Volunteering Leave, a scheme providing staff with an additional two days leave to use in any volunteering initiatives with charitable institutions or NGOs.

"The walks were challenging but it was worthwhile, knowing we were raising money for such a worthy organisation ‒ Hospice Malta. The work they do makes a difficult time more bearable for so many people," said Attard Montalto. "We were also very lucky to enjoy some beautiful scenery, which gave us added motivation to reach the end."

The trip was organised by Eman Azzopardi and covered 130km over six days, on the Via Francigena, an ancient Roman route between France and Rome, which became a pilgrim route from Canterbury to Rome in the Middle Ages.
