Motorsport: Honda new ASMK motocross championship sponsor

The Assocjazzjoni Sport Muturi u Karozzi (ASMK) is to continue the Autocross cars events.

This will be the second event of the ASMK-Pasta Poiatti National Championship 2017/2018.

Also tomorrow the Motocross National Championship 2nd event, now sponsored by Honda, starts at 8am while the Autocross cars racing follow the Motocross warm-up sessions.

Meanwhile during tomorrow's activity, as every year, the association will be remembering the deceased ASMK members. Holy Mass will be celebrated on site in the sports complex of the ASMK. It starts at 10am and will be celebrated by the Spiritual Director of the association.

The association also announced the new sponsor for the National Motocross Championship 2017/2018.

Gasan Zammit Ltd, through their brand Honda, which is one of their companie,s will be sponsoring the Motocross Championship of this season. So the new name will be Honda national motocross championship 2017/2018.

In the near future the association will also be announcing other agreements on new aid projects reached with this company.

The association also apologised for the cancellation of the Trials event which was scheduled to be held last Sunday. This programme was cancelled due to bad conditions of the tracks.

The next activity is expected to be held on Friday 8 December - a Public Holiday. The venue for the event will be announced later.

motocross competitors brothers Clayton and Kyle Camilleri both riding on KTM motorcycles, were committed and competing in the Sicily Regional Championship organised by the Italian Motorcycle Federation (FMI) in Sicily.

This competition held in Trapani saw the participation of  the elite riders of the Sicilian Region.

Clayton Camilleri who competes in the highly competitive Class named 'MX2 Over 21', riding a KTM 450cc bike, finished in fourth place while young Kyle, who competes in the Under 21 MX2 class, won second place on his KTM 250cc bike. They undoubtedly made both ASMK and our country proud with these results.
