Grima said that the project is financed by SportsMalta.

He said all the walls and the ceiling was changed, and works around the pavilion grounds occurred, including on the showers and ventilation systems. He said that this is the first phase of the project, and government will help conclude further infrastructural work on the dressing rooms, the gymnasium, the offices and the board room through SportsMalta.

He said that through this investment, Malta has an international level pavilion that will be used in the Eurpean Small Nations Games in 2023.
