The Malta Police Force has managed to intercept a human trafficking operation which involved some 20 people. In a statement, the police said that these victims were brought to Malta for work. 

"The authorities have immediately started a process to have these individuals put into shelters while Identity Malta started a process to give an emergency status to these individuals.
