Daphne murder compilation of evidence reassigned to Magistrate Charmaine Galea Friday, 15 December 2017, 08:09 Last update: about 7 years ago Magistrate Charmaine Galea has been assigned the compilation of evidence process in the case against three men accused of killing journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia with a car bomb on 16 October. The first hearing is set for next week. The case had initially been given, by lot, to Magistrate Donatella Frendo Dimech who on Thursday morning recused herself citing conflict of interest. ADVERTISEMENT Frendo Dimech declared that she was in the same class as one of the journalist’s sisters. The defence objected.
