A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a traffic accident in Gudja on Sunday evening, the police said.

The accident took place in Dawret il-Gudja at 7.15pm.

The biker, a 23-year-old man of Fgura who was riding a Honda, was involved in a collision with an Isuzu Elf van driven by a 48-year-old man of Qormi.

The biker was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
