Two teenagers were seriously injured on Wednesday evening after a car overturned in Zebbug, Gozo, the police said.

The accident happened in Marsalforn Road at 7.30pm.

A 19-year-old man, resident in Xaghra, was driving an Alfa Romeo which hit a central strip and overturned. A passenger in the car, a 17-year-old woman of Ghajnsielem, was also seriously hurt.

They were taken to Gozo Hospital for treatment.
