A 33-year-old Romanian construction worker suffered grievous injuries after falling in a construction site, a police statement read.

The incident occurred at 12.35 pm, on Vinċenzo Buġeja road, Floriana.

The 33-year-old man was taken to Mater Dei Hospital after falling from a one-storey height.

Investigations are ongoing.
