Tuesday, 23 January 2018, 11:15 Last update: about 7 years ago

The first of four courses under the BOV Education Programme 2018 started on 9 January at The Victoria Hotel in Sliema.

This year's programme includes various topics such as success planning, power of attorneys, card fraud and chargebacks as well as the Depositor Compensation Scheme.

Speaking about the programme, John Paul Abela, the bank's Investor Relations Officer commented: "I am pleased to see bank officials disseminating knowledge and best practices with the general public. Year on year, participation has been on the increase following last year's success. This year's keen participation ties in well with the bank's belief in the value of holistic education, a principle that governs its education pillar."

Year on year, participation has been on the increase. "People are showing that these sessions are valid and useful through their keen participation and active engagement during the sessions," Abela added.

The bank will be running three other courses between February and April at different venues, including one in Gozo. Every course consists of six sessions of two hours. Two of the courses are delivered in English, and the other two will be delivered in Maltese.

Participation is free of charge. However, as seating capacity is limited, booking is required by contacting the Investor Relations Office on (+356) 2275 7570 or by email on [email protected]
