Mapfre Middlesea management gives Christmas donation

Tuesday, 23 January 2018, 10:06 Last update: about 7 years ago

For the third consecutive year, the managment at Mapfre Middlesea have decided to donate to a good cause, instead of receiving gifts for the festive season.

Each year, a different cause is chosen by the management. This year, a donation was given to The Malta Dimentia Society and St Andrew's Food Bank.

The FoodBank at St Andrew's, founded in 2014,  help individuals and families in short-term crisis, through the provision of emergency food supplies. The families are identified by care professionals.
The Malta Dimentia Society works to increase public awareness of the condition. The society strives to organise activities such as talks, discussions, training courses and campaigns. It provides support to persons with dementia, their families and care workers.

"This is a small gesture from our end for this festive season. We truly appreciate the work done by local NGOs and this is our way of showing it," said Felipe Navarro, CEO.

In the upcoming year, the company will be collaborating with a number of NGOs to assist in various projects.
