Just over 17,100 students were receiving student maintenance grants as at 31 December 2017 for the 2017-2018 academic year. This amounted to €25,468,292 for the 2017 calendar year.
The above information was tabled in Parliament by Education Minsiter Evarist Bartolo, who was responding to a Parliamentary Question posed by PL MP Stefan Zrinzo Azzopardi.
