An elderly man was seriously injured early this morning when he fell down the steps in his own residence in Valletta, the police said.
The accident happened in Old Theatre Street at 3.40am.
The man was taken to hospital for treatment.
Magistrate Yana Micallef Stafrace is holding an inquiry.
