Industrial action planned by physiotherapists and pharmacists has been called off, Health Minister Chris Fearne announced.

In a tweet, the minister said that the industrial action has been suspended with immediate effect.

Physiotherapists were to industrial action on Monday.

The Malta Union of Midwives and Nurses had registered an industrial dispute after the failure to start discussions over a new sectoral agreement for Allied Health Professions.

Pharmacists working in government services also requested improvements to their working conditions.
