The Carnival Grand Finale, scheduled for tonight in St Anne Street in Floriana, has been postponed to Sunday because of the bad weather,

Carnival activities have been hampered this year, with events earmarked for last Friday and Saturday also cancelled because of rain and wind.

The organisers this morning took the decision to postpone the Grand Finale to Sunday, meaning that what should be a pre-Lent activity will now be concluded on the first weekend of Lent.

Festivals Malta together with Organisational Carnival Committee said that the dance and float competitions will take place this afternoon at 15:30 in St George’s Square, Valletta, as scheduled.
