The UHM - Voice of the Workers, has said that many questions regarding the national interest remain unanswered in the VGH - Steward Health Care agreement.
The Union is requesting a bilateral meeting with government, in order to be able to put forward proposals regarding this issue.
The Union said that it still believes the Attorney General should investigate the signed contract. They said that until the contract falls under the Attorney General for scrutiny, the union is not in a position to agree that the agreement would be beneficial for the Maltese and Gozitan people.
The Union said that an agreement should occur between the union and government, so that existing and future health workers fall under government. They said that the work conducted by the employees must be safeguarded.
