A 64-year-old man from Birzebbuga was grievously injured after falling inside his home, the police said.

The police said they were alerted about the case, which took place in Triq San Mikiel, Birżebbuġa, at around 3pm.

The man fell from a height of one storey.

He was taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance.

The police are investigating.
