A 3-year-old German boy has been hospitalised with serious injuries after he was hit by a pickup truck in Msida, the police said.

The accident took place at around 11:35am in Triq Bordin corner with Triq San Luqa.

The boy was hit by an Isuzu D-Max that was being driven by a28-year-old man from Għargħur.

He was taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance.

Magistrate Josette Demicoli is leading an inquiry.
