Neptunes Leo Vegas started their Winter League Premier Division commitments with a over Valletta Video Slots winning 6-4.

The match started in a rather one sided manner with Neptunes racing to a three goal lead at the end of the first session. Jordan Camilleri scored a brace with the other goal coming from Niki Lanzon. However Valletta recovered well in the second session, which they won 2-0 with goals from Ryan Mock and Michele Mifsud.

The game continued to be balanced on a knife edge in the third session which ended 2-2. Neptunes made it 4-2 through Gabriel Pace but Valletta came back strongly with goals from James Spiteri Staines and Michele Mifsud. Jordan Camilleri scored his third and Neptunes’ fifth to set up a nail-biting final session with only one goal in it.

The final session saw Neptunes move two goals ahead through Jordan Camilleri from a penalty. The Balluta team then controlled the game although Valletta squandered a good man up opportunity where they could have made it a tense affair towards the end.
