A 58-year-old English woman suffered grievous injuries after an impact between a bus and a car.

The incident occurred at 4.15 pm, on Gorg Borg Olvier street St Julian's.

The car was driven by a 26-year-old San Gwann resident and the bus, a King Long, was driven by a 51-year-old man from St Paul's Bay.

An ambulance was called on site, which took the 58-year-old English woman who was on the bus to Mater Dei Hospital for care.

Investigations are ongoing.
