President of the Malta Weightlifting Association, Jesmond Caruana has been elected as Vice President of the Commonwealth Weightlifting Federation during the electoral Congress at the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games. 

From the 36 countries present in the Congress, 31 voted for Jesmond, giving him the absolute majority to take the position of Vice President.
