Birzebbuga won this year’s Freedom Day regatta held at the Grand Harbour.

The event was held today because Freedom Day, 31 March, fell on Easter weekend.

This is the second time that Birzebbuga won the Shield, bagging 60 points against Cospicua’s 40, Marsa with 35, Marsamxett with 31 and Senglea with six.

The Category B shield was won by Cospicua with 84 points.
