A six-year-old boy suffered grievous injuries after being hit by a BMW.

The incident occurred at 11.30 am this morning, on Triq C. De Brocktorff, Msida, police said.

The BMW 420D was being driven by a 39-year-old Russian woman who lives in Sliema.

An ambulance was called and the boy was taken to hospital.

Investigations are ongoing.
