A man was seriously injured on Sunday afternoon when he fell a height of two storeys at Wied il-Mielaħ, near Għasri in Gozo.

The accident happened at 12.30pm.

The man, aged 24 of Kalkara, was lifted from the valley by rescuers of the Civil Protection Department and taken to hospital. 

In February a Swiss tourist died when he fell into the same valley.
