Muscat said that this partnership is built on trust and mutual respect that has been positively developed over many years. It is of great pride to us that, whilst industry is downsizing its presence in most of the Western world, this is not the case in Malta.

The fact that a capable Maltese workforce and management lead to the success of De La Rue in Malta reassures us that the belief that we have in our people is well placed. De La Rue’s success is an example of what we, as a country and people, have to offer, Muscat remarked.

“This success is not accidental, but is the result of a strong and cooperative relationship between the government and businesses as well as our investment in educating the right talent to foster and lead,” it the Prime Minister said.

Muscat said that the past 40 years of De La Rue had many ups and downs along the way, but that there has been no better time to state how much their job is on a sound footing.
