Tarxien Rainbows celebrate championship with a win

Tarxien celebrated the MFA Women's U-19's League title with a comfortable 4-0 win over runners up Birkirkara in their final match at the Kirkop ground on Sunday.
Kailey Willis scored 3 goals in the first half and Chloe Ann Ellul added another in the second to give the Rainbows something more to celebrate after mathematically clinching the title 2 weeks ago. Willis also topped the top scorer’s sheet with 29 goals and Tarxien’s defence was the best by far conceeding only 7 goals throughout the 13 matches. Tarxien also managed to remain unbeaten for the second time after doing so when they won the 2015/16 title.
The next target for the blues is the KO Trophy where they will meet Gozo in the semi finals on Tuesday 1stMay at 11am in Ghajsielem, Gozo.
