Women U19 KO Final: Tarxien and Luxol face each other in the final

Luxol Raiders beat Mgarr United 3-2 on Sunday to secure their place in the final. Laura Muscat opened the scoreline on the 34' for Luxol but Maia Debono equalised for Mgarr soon after the break. It was Muscat who put Luxol ahead again on the 54' with Patricia Ebejer scoring from the penalty spot for Mgarr with only 5 minutes to go. It seemed like the game was taking us to extra time but Michela Bonello Ghio scored the winner in the dying minutes to hand the Raiders a place in the final. The Raiders beat Mosta 1-0 with a goal from Laura Muscat in the quarter finals.

In the second semifinal Sunday Tarxien Rainbows saw off Birkirkara 4-1 to face Luxol in the final. Kailey Willis scored all 4 goals for Tarxien with Mariah Sciberras scoring 1 for Birkirkara. The Rainbows played Gozo in the quarter finals on Tuesday in a hard fought match. Gozo lead 4-1 in the first half with 3 goals from Maria Farrugia and 1 from Thea Borg, Kailey Willis scored Tarxien's. In the second half Tarxien made an incredible come back with goals from Lara Theuma on the 43',  Amber Brincat 72' and Chloe Ann Ellul 75' to take the match to extra time. On the 86' Tarxien went ahead for the first time but Maria Farrugia equalised on 93'. On the 95' Willis scored again the winner for Tarxien.
