Valletta Mayor Alexiei Dingli has disassociated himself from the V18 Foundation, a news report by the Time of Malta has read, adding that he will not attend any more events.

According to the news report, Dingli wrote a letter to V18 Chairman Jason Micallef, as well as board members, expressing discomfort at Micallef's management of the foundation.

The report read that the letter accused Micallef of systematically excluding the local council from its activities. It was reported that some invites were even sent to some entities in Valletta, and that those entities were prohibited from inviting the council.

Dingli, the Times reports, accused Micallef of playing partisan politics.

The V18 top man has been under heavy local and international criticism lately, over the way he handled the Daphne Caruana galizia memorial situation, and other instances.
