Busy weekend for large number of Maltese racing drivers competing abroad

Last weekend a large number of Maltese racing drivers competed abroad. At Racalmuto circuit in Agricento in Sicily there were Joseph Zammit and Neil Farrugia on Toyota Starlet, Aldo Laferla on Cayman Porsche 714, Michael Farrugia on GT86, Anthony Bonello on Honda Civic, Jason Spiteri on Renault Megane RS, Daniel Montebello on Mitsubishi EVO, Muscat Warren on Sierra Cosworth, Joe Anastasi on Mini, Darryl Borg on Skyline GTR, Grixti Lawrence on RX7, Tabone Philip on Ford, Sammut Warren on Ford Escort, Spiteri Johann on EVO, Mark Borg on Ferrari F340, and Keith Cardona on Noble. These drivers competed in the third round of the Time Attack Championship.

In Sicily there was also Noel Galea racing his Escort MK2 at Valle D'Anapo Hillclimb at Sortino. Although Galea has great racing experience in Sicily. It is the first time he's doing this race.

In England, and this time Drag Racing there was Justin Muscat and John Martin on two MK1 Escorts. After they competed in Nostalgia Nationals the previous weekend, they competed in Doorslammers. At Santa Pod there was also Paul Fenech another Maltese Racing Driver racing an Escort MK1 property of Andy Harris from the United Kingdom. A large number of Drag Racing Drivers and Fans travelled to Santa Pod give their support to fellow Maltese drivers.
