The Eurohockey Club ‘Festival of Hockey’ started at three out of eleven Eurohockey Club events spreading across 10,600 miles, starting in Helsinki, London and Lipovci and moving onto Geneva, Ghent, Vienna, Copenhagen, Edinburgh and London.
Lightshop Hotsticks and Floriana Young Stars took part in Club Challenge III in Copenhagen, Denmark, and Challenge IV in Helsinki, Finland respectively. In fact Young Stars played the opening match and they were beaten by two goals to nil by HK Moravske Toplice of Slovakia; the second goal being scored late in the game.
Sliema Hotsticks played their first match in the Club Challenge III against Nacka LHK (Sweden) and held them to a draw of 4 – 4 in Copenhagen.
In the last match,
Baltic Champs (LTU) beat Sliema Hotsticks 2-1.
All tournaments across the board were played over three days between 17th and 20th May.
