Cyrus Engerer resigns from role as prime minister's representative in Brussels

Cyrus Engerer has resigned from his role as the prime minister's representative to the European Union in Brussels.

He announced his resignation in a Facebook post, saying that he had chosen to return to Malta four years after taking up the role.

Engerer said he had informed Prime Minister Joseph Muscat of his intentions in February but had accepted his request to stay on for a few more months.
