A man was grievously injured in a crash involving two cars in Cospicua today, the police said.

The accident took place in Immaculate Conception Street at noon.

A Nissan March driven by a 56-year-old man of Vittoriosa and a BMW driven by a 30-year-old man resident of Fgura were involved in the crash.

The 56-year-old was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
