The general public is invited to view all the entries submitted for the Malta Youth Film Festival and vote for their preferred film. The film with the most votes will win the Public Choice award, during the Final Awards Night which will be held open air at the Youth Village in Sta Venera on 24 May from 7.30pm onwards.

The Malta Youth Film Festival, organised by Agenzija Zghazagh and the Malta Film Commission, is being held for the first time to support the creative and technical talents of aspiring young film-makers aged 16 to 30. It is supported by the Arts Council, the Malta Film Foundation and the Parliamentary Secretariat for Youth, Sport and Voluntary Organisations.  The winner of the best overall film will win €500 and also the opportunity for two young people to attend and participate in workshops during the Nordic Youth Film Festival which is being held in Tromso, Norway next June.
