What A Wonderful World: a tribute concert to friends we loved and lost

Sunday, 3 June 2018, 10:03 Last update: about 7 years ago

St Monica Choir will be remembering loved ones through a tribute concert of well-known music hits from the 1970s.

The concert will be held at the auditorium of Sacred Heart College, St Julian's on 7 June at 7.30pm.  Entrance will be free of charge and a retiring collection will be held in aid of Hospice Malta, a charity very close to the choristers' heart.

What a Wonderful World was chosen as the name for this concert to remind all that despite all the negative experiences, it IS a wonderful world, and the passing of close friends this year has highlighted this.

The choir will occupy the stage not in the traditional choir formation, and accompanied by visual projections and a light show, will perform hits like Stand by Me, Imagine, I Will Follow Him, I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing, a Mamma Mia medley and What a Wonderful World, amongst others.
